Treasurer: Dr. Angela Senders is a licensed naturopathic physician in the state of Oregon. She is passionate about naturopathic medicine and believes it can be one of the best adjunct therapies for conventional cancer care. She has studied extensively with Dick Thom, DDS, ND to continue to further expand her knowledge and approach to this disease. She believes that empowering a patient affected by such a traumatic diagnosis is equally as important as choosing the appropriate treatment plan for a patient. She strives to support her patients in this way, helping them to find a grounded place from which to direct their own, personal journey with cancer. Dr. Senders has been involved with the Clara Jean Foundation since March of 2008 and in hopes to help educate the public about all modalities that can benefit those on a journey with cancer. She maintains a private practice in downtown Portland at Bambúu Clinic (bambuclinic.com). Secretary: Haralee Weintraub is a breast cancer survivor and entrepreneur. She is the CEO of Haralee.com, a moisture- wicking clothing manufacturer. Haralee worked for Fortune 100 and 500 companies in sales and marketing for 25 years before starting her own company that was influenced by her breast cancer experience in 2004. Haralee used natural medicine and Chinese Herbs along with conventional medicine for her breast cancer treatments. Her oncologist recommended correctly that she would benefit from a holistic approach to her care. Haralee took her knowledge of healthcare, garnered from 20 years in pharmaceutical sales, to carve out a positive and empowering protocol for her breast cancer treatments. Haralee is a survivor spokeswoman for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and a blogger for Pink and More Magazines representing the voice of the menopausal women. In 2008 Haralee was asked to join the Clara Jean Foundation to lend the “survivor” perspective. She takes great pride in helping maintain the legacy of Clara Jean.
